Terms of Service

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Contractual Relationship

By accessing or using CoachRift, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the platform. These terms govern both the subscribing personal trainers (who obtain branded subdomains) and the individual clients invited to access training programs.

2. Subdomain & Branding Ownership

Upon onboarding, trainers are allocated a unique subdomain slug (e.g. `trainername.coachrift.com`).

  • Trainers do not own the underlying subdomain domain name; it remains the exclusive intellectual property of CoachRift.
  • We reserve the right to rename, reclaim, or suspend subdomains that violate trademark laws, represent offensive terms, or remain inactive for extended periods.
  • Trainers are fully responsible for the branding photos, logos, and custom texts uploaded to their subdomain space.

3. Service Tiers & Client Limits

Our subscription levels (Basic, Standard, Premium) restrict the number of active clients who can simultaneously maintain logs under a single trainer subdomain.

  • Tier Limitations: Basic allows $\le 10$ clients, Standard allows $\le 25$ clients, and Premium allows unlimited coaching slots.
  • Billing: Subscription upgrades and tier limits are manually adjusted by the Platform Admin upon receipt of external subscription confirmations.
  • Suspension: Failure to maintain membership active status externally will lead the Admin to toggle the trainer profile to "inactive," restricting dashboard logins.

4. Safety & Liability Disclaimer

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING:

CoachRift is a software tool used by personal trainers to coordinate workout programs. We do **not** provide direct medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Clients must consult with a certified medical doctor before starting any physical conditioning program prescribed by a trainer.
  • CoachRift is not responsible for any physical injury, medical emergency, or structural impairment incurred by trainers or clients during workout logging.
  • Trainers must ensure they carry appropriate professional liability insurance for physical coaching.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload malware, engage in spam, scrape platform pages, or bypass Row-Level Security configurations. Any attempt to access client records of another trainer or bypass active subdomain scoping is grounds for immediate account termination without refund.

Agreement Acceptance

By proceeding with user signup, trainer onboarding, or client invitation logging, you confirm full understanding and acceptance of these Terms of Service.
